Texas Chick-Fil-A Hosting Daddy-Daughter “Date Night”
this is one of the most reaching articles i have ever read. i loved going on father-daughter dates when i was younger (many of which were spent at chick-fil-a, since my mom's a vegetarian). i wish we had gotten to go on more as i got older, actually. and calling it a date never creeped me out, he's my DAD.
and yeah chick-fil-a is a christian establishment. heaven forbid someone stand for something you don't agree with! i may not agree with everything they stand for either, but does anyone agree with every single principle of every owner/manager/whatever of every restaurant, store, etc. that they frequent? i applaud you if you do, but that would be quite a feat in my opinion.
and since when does going on a father-daughter date imply that i need a man to take care of me, or a man to submit to? ....like WHAT? where did that jump come from? or the jump to purity balls?
i just wanted to hang out with my dad and eat some damn chicken!
i don't know why this bothered me so much. i really do understand what she's saying, i just think it was taken way too far.
then again i am from the south and i love it (i can't say i agree with some of the things it has at times, and continues to, stand for, but i i love it). and i love my father very much. maybe i'm exactly the kind of person that would give her the icks.
ps. sorry for the diatribe. i have NO idea why i felt the need to write this, especially since i doubt anyone will read it haha. i just got worked up!

ditto girl. ditto.
Oh boy. First thing that pops into my mind: father/daughter square dance and how much fun it was.
And NOT a big deal.
