this is mostly for the purpose of self-motivation. i'm a firm believer in putting goals to paper (or out there for all to see i guess).
after a weekend of a lot of fun, but also a lot of bad food (too much bread-y, fried and processed nonsense) and a beer or two.... ian and i decided fasting for the purpose of detox was in order today. i also decided today would be my first day to attempt a crossfit workout (what ian does everyday).
this seems like an unwise combination...
but so far, so good. i've been doing zumba and/or yoga almost everyday for a little while now, but doing this crossfit workout was pretty eye-opening. as in, it nearly killed me. but immediately after i finished it i knew i could have done a better job and i knew that i wanted to do crossfit again. i'm still sticking with zumba and yoga for the most part, because i really do feel like i get a lot out of them and i genuinely enjoy doing them. but i need to add more challenges in these practices. i need to find that perfect balance so that i feel my best and am at my best.
oh, and i have had a delicious homemade smoothie today....i'm not ready for full-on fasting yet. again, finding my balance.
