not that we went on crazy adventures or anything: a trip to philly, a journey to a jersey wedding, i have seen more malls in one summer than i've ever seen in my life. i mean, they have amazing malls around here, and in delaware they're tax-free!! but we didn't just shop all summer. lots of crabs were eaten, many a beach bar was visited, and friends were made. i will not miss where we live, i will not even really miss ocean city in general, but i will miss assateague and the people we worked with. i genuinely enjoyed my job.
BUT now all that is over....i am in the ridiculous process of packing and then cleaning our entire house. i am lonely and wren apparently hates being with just me.
oh yeah, i am alone because my love is in ARIZONA. on the freaking BORDER. working a detail at organ pipe cactus national monument. only the "most dangerous" park in the US. granted that national geographic article was written in 2003, not long after Kris Eggle, an organ pipe ranger, was shot and killed by drug smugglers. but it's still incredibly dangerous, they still carry assault rifles and wear camo, and they're still tracking drug smugglers and border-crossers.
yeah....so.....i suppose i'm a little more than just lonely. but i know what an incredible opportunity this is for ian and i support him 100%. he is truly a badass.
well that is what is going on with me now. expect more frequent updates, because i am alone, and then i will be home in chattanooga!! yayayayay!
