so i'm attempting this diet called the paleolithic or paleo diet. it's all about eating like a caveman...meaning like a hunter-gatherer, etc. this means: no grains, no dairy, no legumes/beans, no sugar, no potatoes or other starchy veggies, and basically this means no processed foods. what you do eat on this diet: MEAT, fish, veggies, fruits, eggs, and nuts. pretty intense for me...but it's going ok so far. i tried just one or two meals a day at first and today was my first all paleo day. i had a (mostly) egg white omelet with bacon and spinach, some almonds and some blackberries for breakfast. observe:

it was delicious! also this was mostly brunch...so for lunch i had some yogurt (i know it's dairy, i'm modifying some things), a few more almonds and a couple of slices of turkey. for dinner i made a version of chicken picatta and some green beans. yum! i think this will be kind of tough, mostly the grains and some dairy ( i love cheese ), but i'm liking it ok so far. it will be hard to eat on the go or eat out, which is no good since i do too much of both. we'll see how it goes, but i'm hoping to feel healthier and lose some weight...
